Delos' father was the leader of a cult. He believed that he was the son of God, and the only one who could lead man to eternal salvation. He believed there were an heirachy to the different races of the world. On top, were those with blonde hair and blue eyes. He strived to keep the blood line pure, but from time to time he would stray from the path. He didn't dwell upon his guilt over sleeping with those he viewed as little more than animals because within his mind while he considered such an act a sin he was exempt from it as everything and everyone were place upon the world for his pleasure. He abducted female of various racial background, and keep them as his sexual slave. However, he would often kill any children born from one of the so called inferior races, but every once in awhle he would allow a child born from one of the lesser races to live to remind his followers that no one is free from temptation.
Delos' mother was one of his father's victims. She was highschool exchange student from Japan. but unlike so many of Delos' father's victims she managed to escape after only six months of being kept as a sex slave. It wasn't long afterwards that she discovered she was with child. So great was her guilt over what had happened to her that she cut ties with her family back in Japan. Instead, she decided to stay within America to raise her unborn child. Despite how he was concieved, Delos' mother loved her son with every fiber of her being. They lived rather happily for the first three years of Delos life, but than his father found them. His father wasted no time using his influence and connections to prove Delos' mother unfit and gained custody of Delos. He took Delos to the colony to be raised there.
Life within the colony was horrific for Delos. He was constantly reminded that he was one of the inferior races, and subjected to many different form of abuses because he had dared been concieved by one of the lesser races. His father turned him into a sexual object that any male within the colony could use as they pleased. and from time to time his father would take him to service his friends outside the colony. Delos willing slept with anyone his father told him to because he believed that if he did everything to please his father that he might eventually gain his affection, and even if he didn't he believed he could gain the affection of others even if only for a moment. It was for this reason that he begun to seek out sexual partners before he left his father's colony at the age of thirteen.
Leaving the colony had not been his choice. In fact, he might still be there if it wasn't for the fact that his own mother had freed him. While she had vowed that she would get him back, she had not known he was there the day she had been released upon the colony by a vampire whom had transformed her into a half-vampire state. This vampire found great amusement in not completing the transformation process of those he decided to turn. Those within this state become nothing more than bloodthirsty monsters who can only be controlled by those whom had put them within that state. If the transformtion is not complete they begin to crave flesh as much as blood. The vampire would transform someone into these half-state and watch them slaughter entire villages, and that was exactly what he did with Delos' mother and the colony.
She had slaughtered every man, woman, a child---including Delos' father--that she came upon that was until she stumbled upon Delos himself. At first, she didn't understand why she couldn't bring herself to kill him, but eventually the truth dawned upon her. She was overjoyed. She had spent ten long years trying to find him, but that joy turned to sorrow when the realization that this was the last time they would see each other. She knew what she was, and knew that whatever prevented her from killing Delos would eventually be consumed. Knowing that she was incapable of committing the act herself, she asked Delos to kill her. She didn't want to hurt anymore people. More than that she didn't wish to hurt him. At first, he refused, but eventually he agreed as well as vowed to kill the vampire whom had put her into this state.
He ended his mother's existence by pushing her within the sun, but he knew that doing the same to the vampire whom had improperly transformed her would not be as easy. After burying the dead within the colony he begun training. He taught himself how to fight as well as everything he could about vampires. Two years later he did what he vowed, catching the attention of a vampire hunters orgainzation. They told him that they could teach him better methods of killing vampires as well as other supernatural beings if he joined their ranks. They made it perfectly clear that he would have a partner. They had a rule that forbid anyone from going into the field alone. This did not deter Delos from agreeing to join. He just had trouble keeping a partner until Ciara came along. She came from Russia, and like him she had killed vampires before she joined this organzation. However, unlike him she had known vampires existed her entire life. She had been born within a vampire nest, and raised to belong to the nest's leader.

Delos and Ciara became extremely close and they have gotten married. However, it wasn't because of any romantic attachment they tied the knot. Delos married her to keep her from being deported back to Russia and eventually the vampire's nest she fled from. In spite this, she is one of two people he has never slept or attempted to sleep with. The other being his half-brother Denali. Like Delos' mother, Denali's mother had been one of those that their father abducted and managed to escape before she was discovered to be with child. However, unlike Delos' mother, their father couldn't prove Denali's mother unfit. Not only that Denali had been born what their father considered ideal---blonde haired and blue eyes. Both brother's often wonder if they have any more siblings out there, and discuss trying to find them.
The recent invention of synthetic blood has allowed vampires to reveal their existence to the general human population, and not long after other supernatural races have followed suit. There are a few whom have remained within the shadow, but as far as Delos is concerned this changes nothing. He will continue to slay vampires and any monsters that stand in his way as long as they still live or until his death. It is a sentiment that Ciara have made perfectly clear that she shares.
